A bit of a read

Fancy coming along to a friendly, cosy gathering for book lovers? Let’s say, the first Wednesday of every month. There’s no particular theme to worry about, and we keep the group small and intimate, with a maximum of 8 people, so everyone gets a chance to chat. Refreshments will be provided, making the evening even more enjoyable. You fancy it? Well, I certainly do. I love books, and I love talking to folks who also love books. This is a bit of a self-motivated gathering because it genuinely makes me happy, and if it makes you happy too, and if you’re in or around Edinburgh, then please come along, it’s going to be grand.

What books are we talking about? Well, my friend, any books are welcome. Most likely, we’ll avoid horror reads (not really my thing, I like to avoid nightmares as I’ve a pretty active imagination), but beyond that, it’s fair game. We’ll decide on the book either by consensus or by a good old-fashioned name out of a hat. So if you’re curious and keen to explore new reads, come on down. It’s donation-based if you fancy contributing (all proceeds go into the pay-it-forward pot). You’ll need to book in advance as spaces are limited. Ideally, you’ll have read the book, but don’t worry, we’re a kind and understanding group, so no stress if you haven’t finished it. Although, if you keep showing up without reading, we might have to chat about that if it becomes a thing!

So, get yourself booked in if you fancy coming along. We meet every first Wednesday of the month from 7-9pm in my space here in Edinburgh. It’s going to be delightful (I wholly own my bias).
